Closet Page Updated

Today, the Closet page has been updated to the new layout.

Mobile

The default view is now more similar to the Inventory, but a toggle in the upper right corner can make it look more similar to the old closet layout:


Toggle these to change layout!

Here's a quick summary of changes:
  • You can now view 30, 60, or 90 items at a time; the previous layout only offered 30.
  • You can search all your items by name without reloading the page (and regardless of the selected page size). An item category dropdown filter is also available.
  • You can delete/remove items in individual inventory-like interfaces:
  • Or you can delete/remove items in bulk by pressing the "Remove Item" button:

Hopefully they'll introduce more sorting/filter options. Otherwise this'll likely be what the SDB turns into and that's not going to be great.

They should just use the filters that are already on the customisation page. Right now these filters are a mess - backgrounds are showing up in every single category including "clothes" for me

i'd like to see if they add a "select all on this page" so i don't have to click on everything, just so i don't accidentally delete the paint brush clothes with the "remove all items" button

Also, agreed, the sorting categories make zero sense, it should sort more like DTI. Right now the sorting is basically useless

The only thing so far that I actually dislike about this, is that I can't refresh the page to see an item I searched for and just transferred from my inventory pop up in my closet anymore. That's a thing I'll have to get used to..

This is such a great update for the closet thank fyora they finally let us select items on multiple pages to remove. selecting items one page at a time, esp when the page would reset to 1 every time, was sooo so annoying lol.

They tell you to do that? What if someone adopts them? Why can't TNT just remove the items, or delete them from the pet and give you replacements?

That's what the old management told us to do at least. I think new management just doesn't want to deal with it.
I'm not sure if transferring them works, I think it does? But I've never tested it, again because my battle pet is too beefy

closet update is nice! it was showing its age in a bad way before
site's not working right for me too. on the new layout pages, only the theme background shows up. but on the old layout pages , everything loads fine

Just checked to see if the art gallery was up yet and I only see constellations (due to my theme); Ddin't even know about the closet overhaul until now.

Well, on a plus side, my Vivi plush comes today so Neo's mishaps are just another thing happening (and honestly typical of the site - though I honestly thought it wsa due to the plot return, LOL).

I haven't yet had a chance to check it out because I am going to avoid the site for a little while (no pun intended) until things settle down a bit.

However, the number one thing I wish they would give us in the closet is the ability to transfer things directly to the SDB and vice versa.

While this looks solid for closet, adding to the chorus to PLEASE NOT use this format for SDB

Being able to bookmark specific search results and removal of specific items, plus tab-number down my codestone page, makes my Neolife so much easier than another clicky interface with (if it's anything like the TP interface) delayed/cached loading.

I haven't "seen" any updates yet as I just came on to Neo and seeing only my theme bg and nothing else. Just as somebody mentioned before, I am also worried about the 650 cap. I currently have Way more than that in my closet now. Which when it loaded it never showed me all of my items to begin with but it is such a pain moving items from sdb to closet and vise versa. I don't want to keep my extra closet stuff in sdb. Too much of a pain remembering what is closet when looking through sdb. I also wish we could get the sdb where it just shows ALL wareables and not just by "NC"

Anyone else feel like 650 items in closet is still too low? Especially given the the incredibly fast rate and quantity of releases in the past year or so. It seems unfair our closet is so limited. I appreciate the increase and attempts to improve. I hope there will be more improvements in the future.

I clicked to toggle specifically a few paint brush wearables to remove from my closet (delete) and it verified which items would be deleted but when I hit submit, it deleted all of my pb wearables not bring worn and also removed all 300+ items in my closet. Beware until bugs are worked out! I'll need to submit a ticket but I'm not optimistic.

for stuck preset items

it if your stuck items are Neocash you can start a transfer to one of your sides and then cancel it (this does wipe the petpage too though)

or you can use a morphing potion on the pet with presets to remove all the wearables

They better not force a 650 item limit. I have been using more than 2,600 items in my closet for years and it loads just fine. As it stands I feel that 2,600 items is too low. I buy all of these items, I expect to be able to use them without a bunch of outrageous hassle.

Considering how many NC wearables they release on the daily, there's no way they'll actually enforce the 650 limit. If they did, it would impact them negatively.

What irks me is that the closet link from the Item Database doesn't link to the specific item any more.

@dynosourx : Thanks for your suggestion - my pet with stuck items on her will eventually be a Vandagyre, but those stuck items are generic wearables, not specific to one species. I hope it works nevertheless.

I don't really find the interface intuitive. Why can't we just click on an item to select it and then have the remove button appear? I play on mobile, but even on the computer, I'd like to have a button to "select all" and then "remove", and also be able to tap/click items then click "remove". Clicking "remove" first is strange to me.

Oh lol so you CAN remove various items at once? And fields appear? After pressing a button that COMPLETELY doesn't suggest that's what it does? I feel like it would at least have a sliiiightly better chance of suggesting that if it said "remove itemS" plural. But also I don't understand why you need to press that button in the first place, when there could just be fields already visible.

Also, I hate the constantly-updating search. Anyone else's browser autofill putting in "pin" in the search field that immediately searches it? Yeeeaaaaah...

Oh no, I hadn't noticed how this break the Item Database! You can no longer check if you have an item in your Closet (and this will apply to SDB later too I assume) through the Item Database, as it just sends you to the Closet's main page! Bummer...

I also hope JNID programmers will update the code so that the item links will anchor to the specific item again.. Imagine when this will break our SDB searches! EEEEP !!
