Hmm, the armor doesn't really "fit" with Elderly, does it? It's a nice set of armor, and I could see it being desirable for cross-paints, but other than the gray hair, nothing about these Tonus screams "Elderly" to me.
The clothing set is pretty fun, at least!

I kind of like the grizzled old retired knight look, but it DOES read as more Royal than Elderly. I can imagine you do run out of conventional ideas for "what do old people dress like" after all a while.

Elderly Tonu:
A very strange set indeed. I wonder if originally these were made to be Royal Tonu... except they then realized too late that Tonu was already available in Royal! I'm also going to guess they made the Ocean Tonu clothing set as I would have then just made them the species clothing set. But not wanting to have to make two other Tonu Colour (and having 3 clothing sets), they checked what Colours the Tonu still needed and, lo and behold, Elderly was still needed. So they aged them up and here we are. Conspiracy aside, you can't complain about a nicely done pair of knight armor (though a bit odd they included a sword, I think the horn guard and shield is enough of an additional adornment). If I was a Tonu customizer I would definitely be considering painting my Tonu Elderly only if to get the armor.
Ocean Tonu:
Hey, what Colour is that Tonu? Is it made of sand?! Wait, this is a clothing set, right? Yeah, just a clothing set... OH, so the sea shells body cover also covers the Tonu entirely in a sand texture. Boy, JS sure does like throwing away potential future Paint Bush ideas, don't they? Now I don't know how popular this Colour this would be, but I imagine some players would like the option to have a Neopet made of sand (with removable sea shells). It's not a bad clothing set, like what they did with the horn and mane, which makes me think Tonu customizers would use them separately from the body (I imagine they'd look quite good on the Maractite, Relic, and maybe Woodland Tonu).

I mean, it's not impossible for them to "reuse" clothing ideas for PBs. We had ninja clothing before Stealthy, for example.

What's with these 'Royalderly" pets? I feel bad for Tonu lovers, as this would be a huge disappointment if I'd been waiting for elderly looks.

I mean it's not like elderly pets come with the most unique clothing sets, so I wouldn't say Tonu lovers are missing out that hard.

The shields and horns are nice, very fancy-schmancy.
But I agree it's weird for Elderly.

I don’t like Elderly pets usually, but these are cool. If you wanted more normal clothing for your elderly tonu (but like, why??) there are plenty of wearable options available.

Lots of why's..
Why are ancient Tonu royal knights? I mean, they look cool (aside from the non-fitting helmets) but why knights? I thought the whole point of Elderly was that they're retired, but still energetic pets? These look.. tired to be still wearing their suit of armour..
That underseas outfit is.. alright.. but far too busy again. Could have done with less shells on the body, a less jarring horn and whatever that thing on the tail is doesn't quite fit either. I doubt these clothing pieces have a lot of customisation options outside of this set.

Unpopular opinion, but I am so in love with the elderly Tonu. They are so different, so tough, so... I dunno... Regal? Like a veteran who has seen a lot and now can rest finally at a cozy home, but never puts asides sword in case it'd be needed again.

Cause imo 'elderly' is a vague enough idea that they could honestly go a million different ways with. Also amazing clothes!

hmm i feel when they do something like this extreme for a paint job, either go back and change all the other ones to match or just call it a new PB color.
I think this look would be a nice on its own and call it Regal, a combo of royal and elderly equal regal
